Promoting Global Citizenship in Education

Abstract

Global citizenship education (GCE) fosters the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to engage actively and responsibly in an increasingly interconnected world. This article explores the importance of promoting global citizenship in education, emphasizing its role in developing critical thinking, empathy, cultural understanding, and social responsibility. Through data analysis, case studies, and research on effective educational practices, the article highlights strategies for integrating GCE into curricula and the challenges of doing so. Recommendations for policy and classroom implementation are provided to ensure that students are wellprepared to become global citizens.
