Abstract

The complex and multifaceted challenges facing environmental protection today demand integrated, collaborative approaches that go beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. The integration of pluridisciplinarity into environmental protection policies holds the potential to offer more comprehensive and sustainable solutions. This article explores the need for pluridisciplinary collaboration in formulating and implementing effective environmental policies. The concept of pluridisciplinarity, which involves the integration of knowledge from multiple disciplines, is discussed in the context of environmental protection, focusing on how it can address environmental challenges more effectively than isolated disciplinary approaches. This paper examines various case studies from Pakistan, which highlight the importance of a holistic approach to policy-making and explores strategies for integrating multiple disciplines, such as environmental science, economics, sociology, and law, in the development of sustainable environmental policies.
