Abstract

This study investigates the impact of social media usage on the mental health of adolescents in Pakistan, focusing on aspects such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and sleep disturbances. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews to provide a comprehensive analysis. The findings indicate a significant correlation between excessive social media use and adverse mental health outcomes among Pakistani adolescents. The study emphasizes the need for targeted interventions and policy recommendations to mitigate these effects and promote healthier digital engagement among youth.
